26th Oct,2020 : There took a tragic incident of elephant attack on Sunday in Kumarikata village at around 11 PM. The elephants destroyed many houses in that area. Among this, karuna Kanta Das, Kiran Chandra Das & Gautam Das were the victims of the incident in which their houses were drastically destroyed by the elephants. It is stated that, there were around 60-70 wild elephants. It is also stated that, till morning the forest department didn’t took any action against the incident said by the villagers.
